Church Overview
Consecrated in 1460, the Church of St Salvator was established as an integral part of St Salvator's College, founded in 1450 by Bishop James Kennedy. Since 1904 it has been the official University Chapel. Refurnished by Reginald Fairlie from 1931. Notable features include Kennedy's tomb, a medieval sacrament house, the 'John Knox' pulpit, the Communion table and World War I memorial with mosaics by Strachan. Hradetzky organ. Fine stained glass.
