Church Overview

Striking pink Sandstone neo-Gothic church designed by Glasgow Architects Clark & Bell. It was built in 1914 to replace the old church, which is now the town's museum. A feature of the church is its tall square tower topped with pinnacles. Of note is the large Webster window on the north elevation; there are also a variety of windows by Willy Rodger, executed by John Clark. Wood carvings based on lino-prints by Willy Rodger are also on display, including praying hands and 3-ft high alpha and omega angels.

The church stands beside the Forth & Clyde Canal on the main thoroughfare through Kirkintilloch.
