Church Overview

Building was commenced on St Margaret's Episcopal Church in 1910 under the direction of R R Pratt, a well known and respected local architect, and the mason D.Forsyth both of Elgin using locally sourced stone. The church was completed in 1911 has remained relatively unchanged to this day. The church is constructed to a rectilinear plan in the simple pointed Gothic. Even with the shortened forecourt the building remains impressive and in keeping with its purpose. The church celebrates its centenary in August 2011.
