Church Overview

Successor to St Lennan's Church Stornoway and St Columba's Uidh, the church of 1794 by John Lobban, master mason, was repaired in 1831 and extended in 1885 when stone Y-tracery and leaded glass was added to the windows, and the transept and porch added. Internally, the 1794 roof survives. Caen stone and marble font gifted by Lady Matheson of the Lews. Two-manual pipe organ, Joseph Brook; rebuilt 1954, Henry Willis & Co. Oak sanctuary furniture and brass eagle lectern gifted by Greyfriars Tolbooth and Highland Kirk, Edinburgh.
