Church Overview
St Bride's was built 1781-2 to replace the nearby medieval building which had become ruinous (the refurbished chancel and clocktower still stand). The church was substantially altered in 1868 and 1878. The side drums and pipe banner of the Cameronian Regiment are kept in the church and the raising of the regiment is commemorated on the second Sunday of May.
