Church Overview
Church with tower and spire built of whinstone with red sandstone dressings, 1873-6, designed by David Thomson. Stunning stained glass: St Ninian window by Christopher Whall, south transept window of St Paul by Morris & Co to a design by Burne-Jones, east window of the Ascension. The St Ninian window shows St Ninian with the plans for his church at Candida Casa; above, St Martin supplies masons to St Ninian; other panels feature miracles attributed to St Ninian. The organ came from the Cally Palace and is of unusual design.
