Village church described by Groome as "built in 1874-75 at a cost of over £2,000 ... an early English edifice, with a bold square tower 80 feet high, and 600 sittings". New halls built alongside behind the war memorial. Near picturesque Clyde Valley, Strathclyde Country Park and many other places of interest.
