Church Overview
A church was founded in this area by the Knights Templar, the ruin of the original St Mary's church can be found in the idyllic grounds of Maryculter House Hotel, close to the River Dee. Maryculter Church building dates from 1787, extended 1882; the interior has changed very little since then with wooden furniture and box pews. Very pretty stained glass windows windows feature the four Evanglists and Peter, Paul, James and Jude. The church buildings have been extended to include a fully equipped modern office, kitchen, meeting rooms and toilets. Everyone welcome.
