Church of nave, aisles and tower built of local whin rubble in 1852 and expanded in 1867 and again in 1887. Fine stone pulpit from 1887 re-ordering. The central stained glass window is a version of Holman Hunt's 'The Light of the World' which glows whatever the lighting conditions. The church is best known for its association with George Matheson who ministered for 18 years from 1869 during which time he wrote 'O Love that wilt not let me go'.
