Church Overview

Church built in 1805 by William Elliot as a traditional country kirk. Recast by Hardy & Wight in 1902 when the chancel, porch and vestry were added and the interior was re-ordered. Situated in the village of Ednam where Henry Francis Lyte, writer of the hymn 'Abide with Me', was born; there is a plaque to Lyte on the bridge over the Eden Water.
