Church Overview
The present attractive church with clock steeple was designed by Robert McLachlane and completed in 1790. It replaced churches on this site since early times. Former United Free Church is now the Church Halls and Carswell United Presbyterian Church refurbished as 'The Carswell Halls' (both located on Montgomery Street). 'Father' Willis organ and fine embroidered pulpit falls by Kathleen Whyte and Fiona Hamilton. Covenanter graves in churchyard.
