Church Overview
Interesting 15th-century church with tower, pre-Reformation relics, Scottish heraldic panels and fine medieval tombs, including those of the founders Sir Adam Forrester, Lord Provost of Edinburgh (died 1405) and Sir John Forrester, Lord Chamberlain of Scotland in the reign of James I. 1828 restoration and additions by William Burn and 1903-5 restoration by George Henderson. Fine Victorian stained glass by Ballantine and 20th-century windows by Gordon Webster and Nathaniel Bryson. Corbels carved by Birnie Rhind with heads derived from Leonardo's da Vinci's Last Supper. Interesting gravestones in churchyard.
