Church Overview

Complex of church hall, rectory and club in Scottish vernacular with an Italian flavour. Orange pantiled roofs and lots of crowsteps. Slated chancel and bell-tower by John Douglas of Chester 1906-9; the rest is by Paul Waterhouse 1919-24. Woodwork of rood, chapel altarpiece and front canopy by Nathaniel Hitch, stone Madonna and Child by Hew Lorimer 1945, marble font and wrought-iron screen by Farmer & Brindley. Three windows by Herbert Hendrie, Louis Davis and Douglas Strachan.
